Regular Season Round 32: Sibiu - Oradea 76-86

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Oradea (21-7) defeated on the road 7th ranked Sibiu (15-14) 86-76 on Tuesday. The guests trailed by 4 points at the halftime before their 40-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. The winners were led by international guard Kris Richard (196-1989, college: Tulane) who scored that evening 21 points and 6 assists and American Mark Ogden (206-1994, college: Dixie St.) supported him with 19 points (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Richard is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top summer league for players who want to play basketball overseas. Four Oradea players scored in double figures. Oradea's coach Cristian Achim allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Tanner McGrew (203-1993, college: WVWC, agency: Duran International) did not help to save the game for Sibiu. International point guard Lucas Tohatan (187-1999) added 9 points and 8 assists for the hosts. Oradea have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser Sibiu keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Oradea will meet league's second-placed Voluntari on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Sibiu will play against Ploiesti CSM (#10) and hope to secure a win.
