Regular Season Round 31: Besiktas - Darussafaka 81-75

The game between third ranked Dacka (19-10) and tenth ranked Besiktas (15-14) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Dacka was defeated by Besiktas in a tough game in Istanbul 75-81. Besiktas made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for the former international guard Kenan Sipahi (197-1995, agency: BeoBasket) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 7 rebounds and 11 assists. The former international Egehan Arna (202-1997) helped adding 23 points (made all of his seven free throws). At the losing side British center Gabriel Olaseni (211-1991, college: Iowa) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Troy Caupain (193-1995, college: Cincinnati, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Besiktas moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Tofas. Dacka at the other side keeps the third position with ten games lost. They share it with Galatasaray. Besiktas is looking forward to face Socar Petkim (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Dacka will play against Pinar Karsiyaka (#6) and is hoping to win this game.
