The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Gaziantep (18-5) in Istanbul on Sunday night. Visitors were rolled over by fifth ranked Anadolu Efes (13-9) 86-62. Anadolu Efes forced 21 Gaziantep turnovers. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Anadolu Efes made 8 blocks. Naturalized Serbian forward Tolga Kay (193-2004, agency: BeoBasket) stepped up and scored 26 points for the winners and Mehmet Demirel (-2005) chipped in 12 points and 14 rebounds. Four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. At the losing side forward Emirali Gokturk (203-2003) responded with 21 points and 5 rebounds and Dogukan Orgun (-2005) scored 8 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Anadolu Efes moved-up to third place, which they share with Galatasaray. Gaziantep at the other side still keeps top position with five games lost.
