Vevey Riviera stormed past GC Zurich to open 2-0 lead in the series. Vevey Riviera forced 24 GC Zurich turnovers and outrebounded them 43-31 including 29 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Malik Johnson (178-1997, college: Canisius) who scored 25 points, 8 assists and 7 steals. The former international Jonathan Dubas (204-1991) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Nicolas Hulliger (194-2001) produced 15 points and forward Mario Gull (195-1998) added 4 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for the guests. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
