New Zealand nipped Mali for the first win in Hungary. Mali grabbed an 18-10 lead after ten minutes. New Zealand narrowed the gap at one-point mark at the big break. Mali stayed in charge throughout the third quarter. They entered the fourth period up by five points but New Zealand ignited a 20-12 rally to snatch the victory. Layla Cameron delivered 18 points, while Maia Jones added 16 points in the victory. Rokiatou Berthe responded with 16 points for Mali.
