Regular Season Round 2: Bergedorf - Neustadt TSV 72-107

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Bergedorf in Hamburg. Hosts were rolled over by Neustadt TSV 107-72. Neustadt TSV dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Bergedorf's 34. Neustadt TSV forced 20 Bergedorf turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Croatian Matej Jelovcic (185-1998) had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and American power forward Daniel Westbrook (208-1995, college: Barton, NC) chipped in 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Moritz Beckmann responded with 23 points and center Yngve Jentz (207-1997) scored 8 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Bergedorf's coach gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Neustadt TSV will play against Bargteheide in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Bergedorf will play against SG Braunschweig to get more than just one victory in their record.
