Regular Season Round 1: SISU - Amager 59-85
Date: September 25, 2022
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when Amager crushed SISU in Copenhagen 85-59. Amager shot 22 for 31 from the free-throw line, while SISU only scored six points from the stripe. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. SISU was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The former international guard Ena Viso (177-1993, college: S.Dakota St.) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 14 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners and forward Annemie Espensen (179-1997) chipped in 21 points and 9 rebounds. Four Amager players scored in double figures. At the losing side Josefine Haabegaard (180-1999) responded with 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Amalie Bessermann (175-2002) scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Amager will play against Aabyhoj at home in the next round. SISU's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Copenhagen to the arena Falcon.
