An interesting game was also tough home loss of Neptunas in a game in Klaipeda versus undefeated Zalgiris 79-71. They made 19-of-21 free shots (90.5 percent) during the game. Zalgiris outrebounded Neptunas 43-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. The former international Ignas Brazdeikis (201-1999, college: Michigan) nailed 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and Central African-American center Kevarrius Hayes (206-1997, college: Florida) accounted for 14 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Zalgiris players scored in double figures. Power forward Rokas Gustys (206-1994, college: Hofstra) came up with 14 points and 8 rebounds and swingman Matas Jogela (201-1998) added 13 points and 4 assists respectively for Neptunas in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Zalgiris will meet Prienai CBet on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Neptunas will play against Rytas in Vilnius and hope to win that game.
