Dinamo B. outlasted Galati in overtime by three points 86-83. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Galati won third quarter 20-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening, at least not yet. The game turned upside-down in the last quarter, where Galati used huge pressure winning it 18-15 getting a tie at the end of regular time. They lost eventually overtime period 7-10. Dinamo B. players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. The former international forward Vlad Moldoveanu (206-1988, college: American) nailed a double-double by scoring 16 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and American point guard Darnell Edge (188-1997, college: FDU) accounted for 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Andrei Calenic (209) came up with 17 points and 9 rebounds and Serbian forward Nedeljko Prijovic (203-1996, college: Maine) added 19 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Galati in the defeat. Four Dinamo B. and five Galati players scored in double figures. Dinamo B. will play against Focsani on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Galati will play against Steaua B. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
