But Kirchheim Knights were not able to use a home court advantage and were defeated by the opponent from Tuebingen 98-86 on Saturday night. Tigers shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Naturalized Croatian Mateo Seric (204-1999) stepped up and scored 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and Finnish point guard Aatu Kivimaki (185-1997, agency: Blacktop Management) chipped in 16 points (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). Tigers' coach Daniel Jansson used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American guard Michael Flowers (185-1999, college: WSU) responded with 26 points and Jonas Niedermanner (205-1996) scored 16 points and 5 steals. Tigers will meet at home Schwenningen in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Kirchheim Knights will play against Muenster and hope to win that game.
