No shocking result in a game when Izmit crushed Emlak 2 in Istanbul 71-45 on Saturday. Izmit dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Emlak 2's 22. They outrebounded Emlak 2 53-35 including a 37-26 advantage in defensive rebounds. Forward Betul Pehlivan (178-1988) notched 13 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the effort and American forward Kym Royster (188-1997, college: Indiana) supported her with 14 points and 9 rebounds. Royster is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Even 5 points and 9 rebounds by Ece Erginay did not help to save the game for Emlak 2. Eda Balkan (-2004) added 11 points for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
