There was no surprise in Frankfurt where Skyliners were defeated by Bayern Muenchen 83-74 on Monday. Bayern Muenchen made 22-of-24 free shots (91.7 percent) during the game. American point guard Cassius Winston (185-1997, college: Michigan St.) scored 23 points (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) to lead the charge for the winners and American-Serbian point guard Corey Walden (188-1992, college: EKU) chipped in 17 points during the contest. Four Bayern Muenchen players scored in double figures. Bayern Muenchen's coach Andrea Trinchieri used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The former international point guard Joshua Obiesie (198-2000) responded with 15 points and 6 assists and Lithuanian Einaras Tubutis (207-1998) scored 8 points and 8 rebounds. Bayern Muenchen will meet at home Chemnitz in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Skyliners will play against MLP Academics Heidelberg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
