Saule used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Kaunas 85-71 on Tuesday night. The hosts trailed by 5 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-71. Saule dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Perkunas' 42. They outrebounded Perkunas 46-28 including 32 on the defensive glass. Joris Kacinskas (-2005) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds for the winners and point guard Deividas Zukauskas (162-2005) chipped in 19 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Saule will meet Zalgiris II in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Perkunas will play against Birzu and hope to win that game.
