Regular Season Round 4: Copenhagen - Amager 106-81
Date: October 7, 2022
Copenhagen's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Amager (1-3) 106-81. Copenhagen forced 24 Amager turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Amager's players. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Nathan Scott (203, college: EMU) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import center Durell Vinson (201-1985, college: Wagner) who added 17 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side forward Andreas Meilby (200-1992) responded with 24 points and 7 rebounds and forward Tomas Bjarkason (204-1999, college: Lewis) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Copenhagen left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Amager. It was Amager's third loss in a row. Copenhagen will play against bottom-ranked Holbaek (#11) on the road in the next round. Amager will play against BAC and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
