Regular Season Round 3: Herlev - Amager 79-72

An exciting game was played in Herlev. Herlev faced Amager. Host Herlev (2-0) defeated guests from Kastrup (2-2) 79-72. Herlev dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Amager's 28. They outrebounded Amager 46-33 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Herlev looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Ellen Iversen (180-1997) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 16 rebounds. Israeli swingman Mariam Hannoun (178-1994, college: Eckerd) chipped in 19 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Herlev players scored in double figures. Herlev's coach Miguel Ventosa used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Ena Viso (177-1993, college: S.Dakota St.) who recorded 15 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and guard Julie Jungslund (169-1998) added 16 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Herlev are looking forward to face SISU (#4) in Copenhagen in the next round. Amager will play on the road against Falcon in Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
