Regular Season Round 1: UDW Alligators - Mustangs 71-75

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of Alligators in Deutsch-Wagram. Hosts were defeated by Mustangs 75-71. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-15. But Alligators won third quarter 20-16. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mustangs forced 21 Alligators turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of Czech center Michal Norwa (198-1983) who helped to win the game recording 6 points, 15 rebounds and 5 assists. Czech center Zdenek Nehyba (197-1995) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Serbian center Marko Kolaric (213-1984, college: Chaminade) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 16 rebounds and guard Daniele Kuchar (188-2004) added 15 points in the effort for Alligators. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Mustangs will play against Towers in Kufstein in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Alligators will play on the road against Blackbirds in Jennersdorf to get more than just one victory in their record.
