Regular Season Round 4: Sangalhos - Ovarense 65-83

Liga Betclic top team - Ovarense (4-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they beat eleventh ranked Sangalhos (0-3) 83-65. They outrebounded Sangalhos 38-27 including 29 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Jacoby Armstrong (201-1995, college: UNH) who helped to win the game recording 22 points and 9 rebounds. The other American import forward Ben Okhotin (198, college: PLNU) contributed with 23 points for the winners. Ovarense's coach Joao Tiago used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian guard Nikita Kasongo (193-1996, college: St.Mary's) replied with 20 points and 5 steals and Marshallese-American forward Justin Stovall (201-2000, college: UW-Platteville) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Sangalhos. Ovarense have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 4-0 record. Newly promoted Sangalhos still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with Imortal. Ovarense are looking forward to face Esgueira (#7) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Sangalhos will play against Benfica and hope to get finally their first victory.
