Regular Season Round 3: Tarsus - Antalya 96-69

Not a big story in a game in Mersin where Antalya (0-3) was rolled over by Tarsus (3-0) 96-69 on Saturday. Tarsus dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Antalya's 38. Tarsus forced 19 Antalya turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by Antalya's players. The best player for the winners was American center Sasha Goodlett (195-1990, college: Georgia Tech) who had a double-double by scoring 30 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Hande Kuzu (182-1990) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four Tarsus players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Angela Tompkins (188-1991, college: Wichita St.) who recorded a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and center Kubra Dicle (187-1992) added 9 points and 5 rebounds respectively. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tarsus will meet Yalova Vip (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Antalya will play against Manisa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
