Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked TV Langen (2-3) was edged on the road by sixth ranked Mannheim (3-1) 96-95 on Sunday. The winners were led by swingman Alexander Kuhn (198-1992) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and naturalized Russian Albert Kuppe (200-1988) supported him with 23 points. Even 21 points and 8 rebounds by American guard Philip Jenkins (188-1990, college: Life) did not help to save the game for TV Langen. Point guard Henk Droste (195-2001) added 16 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mannheim moved-up to second place in South-West, which they share with 4 other teams. TV Langen lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with three games lost. Mannheim will meet at home league's second-placed Stuttgart in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. TV Langen will play against Ulm BBU 01 (#5) and hope to secure a win.
