Regular Season Round 3: Telsiai - Suduva-Mantinga 77-65
Date: October 13, 2022
First defeat of league's leader Suduva-Mantinga (2-1) against Telsiai (3-0) 77-65 was the most important game of the last round. Telsiai outrebounded Suduva-Mantinga 36-22 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a good game for the former international center Tomas Rimsa (208-1996) who led his team to a victory with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Ovidijus Kaminskis (195-1991) contributed with 10 points and 4 assists for the winners. Four Telsiai players scored in double figures. Aurelijus Pukelis (205-1994) answered with 18 points and 9 rebounds (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!) and point guard Tautvydas Kliucinykas (190-1995) added 14 points in the effort for Suduva-Mantinga. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Suduva-Mantinga will play next round against Palanga trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Telsiai will try to continue on its current victory against Neptunas-Akv. in Klaipeda.
