Regular Season Round 2: Mustangs - Towers 109-83

Very expected game when Towers were smashed by Mustangs in Mistelbach 109-83 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Mustangs. Towers managed to win fourth quarter 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Towers 39-22 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Mustangs looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Towers' players. Czech guard Jan Kozina (182-1995) notched 23 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the effort and Czech center Viktor Vasat (207-1997) supported him with 17 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Coach 's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 34 points (!!!) and 4 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) by Slovenian guard Luka Bozak (185-2000) did not help to save the game for Towers. Israeli-Italian guard Itai Fadlon (191-1999) added 18 points for the guests. Mustangs will meet United in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Towers will play against Blackbirds and hope to win that game.
