Regular Season Round 3: Schwelm - Rhoendorf 65-80

Rather predictable result when Dragons Rhoendorf (2-0) defeated on the road Schwelm (1-2) 80-65 on Saturday. Dragons Rhoendorf forced 24 Schwelm turnovers. It was a great shooting night for Dragons Rhoendorf especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. The best player for the winners was American point guard Devon Goodman (184-1997, college: Pennsylvania) who scored 26 points, 9 assists and 4 steals (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Paul Albrecht (208-1993) chipped in 11 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Brett Reed (204-1996, college: St.Martin's) who recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds and the other American import CJ Oldham (202-1991, college: Gannon) added 9 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Dragons Rhoendorf will meet at home Wolmirstedt (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Schwelm will play against SSV Lok Bernau (#1) and hope to win that game.
