DBBC Graz led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Vienna United's 34. DBBC Graz forced 21 Vienna United turnovers and outrebounded them 48-33 including 19 on the offensive glass. It was an exceptional evening for the former international forward Nina Krisper (179-2001) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Slovenian guard Simona Kuzma (168-1987) accounted for 14 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists for the winning side. Guard Klara Brunner (175-2005) came up with 18 points and 7 rebounds and guard Christina Hofstetter (-2004) added 19 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Vienna United in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. DBBC Graz will meet at home Timberwolves (#5) in the next round. Vienna United will play against Linz Wels and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
