Regular Season Round 6: Herlev - Amager 71-61

There was no surprise when 10th ranked Amager (1-5) was defeated on the road by eighth ranked Herlev (2-2) 71-61. Herlev forced 27 Amager turnovers. It was a good game for American forward Eamonn Joyce (208-1997, college: SNHU, agency: One Motive Sports) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Marqus Marion (204-2004) contributed with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Four Herlev players scored in double figures. American guard Jordan Johnson (198-1998, college: Concordia, WI) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and forward Tomas Bjarkason (204-1999, college: Lewis) added 17 points, 5 rebounds and 7 blocks in the effort for Amager. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Herlev moved-up to sixth place. Amager lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the tenth position with five games lost. Herlev will play against higher ranked Bakken (#3) in Aarhus in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Amager will play at home against Holbaek (#11) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
