Regular Season Round 5: Vytis - Silute 99-83

The game between third ranked Silute (3-2) and leader Vytis (3-0) was the most important one in the last round on Thursday night. Silute was defeated by Vytis in Sakiai 99-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Silute. The best player for the winners was point guard Titas Janusevicius (188-2001) who scored 23 points and 4 assists. Eimantas Zilius (201-1999) chipped in 15 points and 6 rebounds. Vytis' coach Erikas Kuciauskas used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Canadian guard Jalen Warren (188-1999, college: UIC) produced 22 points and American forward Josh Alexander (202-2000, college: American) added 19 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Vytis have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place. Silute at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Vytis are looking forward to face Mazeikiai (#12) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Silute will play against Suduva-Mantinga (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
