Undefeated Pinar Karsiyaka (3-1) recorded its first loss in Izmir. Hosts were defeated by seventh ranked Tofas (3-1) 83-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Pinar Karsiyaka. Tofas made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Rob Gray (186-1994, college: Houston) who helped to win the game recording 32 points and 7 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and Nigerian Suleiman Braimoh (203-1989, college: Rice) who added 16 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American guard Errick McCollum (188-1988, college: Goshen) responded with 24 points and 5 rebounds and Dominican Angel Delgado (208-1994, college: Seton Hall) scored 6 points and 16 rebounds. Tofas moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Pinar Karsiyaka. Tofas will play against Besiktas (#11) in Istanbul in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Pinar Karsiyaka will play on the road against the league's second-placed Fenerbahce (#2) in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
