An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Istanbul. Top-ranked Tarsus faced one of their biggest challengers Fenerbahce G.. Guests from Mersin (6-0) smashed host Fenerbahce G. (4-2) 85-58. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fenerbahce G.. Tarsus made 16-of-18 charity shots (88.9 percent) during the game. Tarsus had a 30-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Fenerbahce G.'s players. It was a good game for American center Sasha Goodlett (195-1990, college: Georgia Tech) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Nihal Yildirim (-1990) contributed with 17 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Tarsus players scored in double figures. Serbian Mina Djordjevic (188-1999) replied with 25 points and point guard Ayse Yilmaz (171-2003) added 12 points in the effort for Fenerbahce G.The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tarsus have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Fenerbahce G. at the other side dropped to the second place with two games lost. They share the position with Edremit and Elazig Il. Tarsus will play against Diba Ankara (#12) at home in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Fenerbahce G. will play against Manisa (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
