Regular Season Round 3: Towers - Blackbirds 57-81

Not a big story in a game in Kufstein where Towers (0-3) were rolled over by Blackbirds (3-0) 81-57 on Saturday. The game without a history. Blackbirds led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Blackbirds outrebounded Towers 48-35 including 37 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Sebastian Koch (200-1988) who had a double-double by scoring 19 points and 13 rebounds. Center Christoph Astl (185-1988) chipped in a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Slovenian guard Luka Bozak (185-2000) who recorded 25 points and 7 rebounds and forward Fabio Thaler (198-1992) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blackbirds will meet at home Rocks (#13) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Towers will play against BBU in Salzburg and hope to get finally their first victory.
