The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Aschersleben as it allowed them to take a leadership position in North. Aschersleben smashed 9th ranked WSG Koenigs at home 86-63. Aschersleben dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to WSG Koenigs' 32. Aschersleben forced 21 WSG Koenigs turnovers.
