Emlak (2-1) recorded a loss in Istanbul. Hosts were edged by Mersin (2-1) 73-70. It was an exceptional evening for Bahamas-Bosnian center Jonquel Jones (198-1994, college: GWU) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 13 rebounds. International Goksen Fitik (175-2001) accounted for 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side. American forward Jantel Lavender (191-1988, college: Ohio St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Canadian guard Nirra Fields (175-1993, college: UCLA) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for Emlak in the defeat. Mersin will play against Bursa (#8) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Emlak's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena Fenerbahce.
