Regular Season Round 2: Aliaga Petkim - Pinar Karsiyaka 57-65

Another interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Izmir: Pinar Karsiyaka and Petkim Spor. Petkim Spor was defeated at home 57-65 and even the fact of playing on their own court did not help. Pinar Karsiyaka forced 21 Petkim Spor turnovers. Emir Ozdemir (-2005) notched 22 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and Emir Bugay (-2005) supported him with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points, 11 rebounds and 4 blocks by Murat Tor (-2003) did not help to save the game for Petkim Spor. Demir Konuk (-2005) added 11 points and 6 assists for the hosts. Pinar Karsiyaka will meet Selcuklu on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Petkim Spor will play against Turk Telekom in Ankara and hope to win that game.
