This time Bayreuth used a home court advantage and outleveled the opponent from Crailsheim 99-77 on Sunday night. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bayreuth (2-2) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Wuerzburg. Loser Hakro Merlins dropped to the thirteenth position with three games lost. They share it with Frankfurt. Bayreuth will meet bottom-ranked ratiopharm Ulm (#18) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Hakro Merlins will play against Bayern Muenchen (#7) in Munich and hope to win that game.
