Regular Season Round 4: Trier - Artland 82-88

Everything could happen in Trier at the game between two tied teams. Both sixteenth ranked Artland Dragons and bottom-ranked Gladiators had identical 0-3 record. But Gladiators were not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Quakenbrueck 88-82 on Sunday night. Artland Dragons looked well-organized offensively handing out 31 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Daniel Zdravevski (207-2001) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) and naturalized Croatian center Marko Bacak (210-1995) who added 19 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Artland Dragons' coach Julien Patrick Flomo used a ten-player rotation saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American Daniel Monteroso (191-1994, college: West Liberty) responded with 20 points and 4 assists and point guard Garai Zeeb (187-1997) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Five Gladiators players scored in double figures. Artland Dragons (1-3) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. It was Gladiators' fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Schwenningen. Artland Dragons will meet at home Schwenningen (#17) in the next round. Gladiators will play against Titans having rather not much hope for a victory.
