Turk Telekom used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Tesvikiye 85-80 on Sunday night. Turk Telekom forced 19 Tesvikiye turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Turk Telekom made 7 blocks. Center Arda Ozdogan (202-2005) notched a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds to lead the effort and Mehmet Bener (-2003) supported him with 23 points and 7 assists. Even a double-double of 21 points and 18 rebounds by Berkay Terzi (-2003) did not help to save the game for Tesvikiye. Arda Uzuner (-2005) added 22 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Turk Telekom will meet at home Petkim Spor in the next round where they are favorite. Tesvikiye will play against Besiktas in Istanbul and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
