Regular Season Round 7: Amager - Holbaek 90-88

Amager's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Holbaek (1-5) 90-88. They outrebounded Holbaek 60-45 including 29 on the offensive glass. Holbaek was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for forward Andreas Meilby (200-1992) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. American guard Jordan Johnson (198-1998, college: Concordia, WI) helped adding 23 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. At the losing side forward Rasmus Moller (202-2002) responded with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and Spanish point guard Pablo Lopez (182-2001) scored 17 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Holbaek players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Amager went down to eleventh position due to points difference. It was Holbaek's fifth loss in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the tenth place with five games lost. Amager will play against league's second-placed Naestved on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Holbaek will play against Svendborg (#7) to get more than just one victory in their record.
