Regular Season Round 7: Hagen BG - Muenster 2 90-81

There was no surprise when 12th ranked Muenster 2 (2-5) lost on the road to eighth ranked Hagen BG (4-3) 90-81 on Friday. It was an exceptional evening for Lithuanian forward Vytautas Nedzinskas (196-1987) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 blocks. American forward Nieja Jordan (203, college: FMU) accounted for 23 points for the winning side. Andrej Koenig (195-1987) came up with 22 points (made all of his nine free throws !!!) and point guard Lorenz Neuhaus (183-2003) added 18 points respectively for Muenster 2 in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Hagen BG moved-up to third place, which they share with 10 other teams. Newly promoted Muenster 2 dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Hagen BG will meet Leverkusen 2 (#4) on the road in the next round. Muenster 2 will play against the league's leader ETB Miners (#1) and hope to secure a win.
