Rather expected game when 7th ranked Cluj Napoca (1-3) lost on the road to fourth ranked Targu Secuiesc (3-1) 64-60 on Saturday. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 18-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Targu Secuiesc looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. American guard Taylor Hawks (168, college: Jacksonville) nailed 16 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and Serbian point guard Ines Corda (169-1995) accounted for 9 points and 6 assists. Ukrainian center Yvheniia Putra (191-2004) came up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds and the former international guard Kincso Kelemen (175-1996, college: CS East Bay) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Cluj Napoca in the defeat. Four Cluj Napoca players scored in double figures. Targu Secuiesc maintains fourth place with 3-1 record. Loser Cluj Napoca keeps the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Alexandria and Targu Mures. Targu Secuiesc will meet Targu Mures (#8) on the road in the next round. Cluj Napoca will play against Agronomia in Bucurest and hope to win that game.
