Very significant was Loewen's (#6) 18-point road victory against 5th ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule 88-70. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Ehingen/Urspringschule. Loewen players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. American Tyseem Lyles (185-1992, college: Mercy) nailed 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winning side and center Noah Kamdem (198-1998) accounted for 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Vincent Neugebauer (210-2002) came up with 12 points and 8 rebounds and Moritz Heck (201-2002) added 16 points respectively for Ehingen/Urspringschule in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Loewen (3-2) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Ehingen/Urspringschule at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Coburg. Loewen will play against league's second-placed White Wings in Hanau in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ehingen/Urspringschule will play on the road against OrangeAcademy (#10) in Ulm and hopes to get back on the winning track.
