Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Elazig Karabulut (3-4) lost at home to second ranked Edremit (5-2) 88-82 on Saturday. Edremit made 21-of-25 free shots (84.0 percent) during the game. It was an exceptional evening for American center Zakyia Weathersby (188-1998, college: UAB) who led the winners and scored 26 points and 9 rebounds. Yagmur Ozturk (-1998) accounted for 20 points and 5 assists for the winning side. Five Edremit players scored in double figures. American guard Ameryst Alston (175-1993, college: Ohio St.) came up with 47 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds (made all of her fourteen free throws !!!) and power forward Betul Gulec (183-1997) added 9 points and 5 assists respectively for Elazig Karabulut in the defeat. Elazig Karabulut's coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Despite that victory Edremit went down to fourth position due to points difference, which they share with Fenerbahce G. Elazig Karabulut lost their third game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the ninth place with four games lost. They share the position with Urla and Emlak 2.
