Regular Season Round 4: KOS - Mustangs 87-96

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of KOS (3-1) in Celovec on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by Mustangs (4-0) 96-87. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of KOS. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Mustangs made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Czech center Viktor Vasat (207-1997) fired 22 points and 7 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) for the winners. Czech center Zdenek Nehyba (197-1995) chipped in 20 points. Mustangs' coach used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slovenian point guard Grega Sajevic (187-1996) produced 21 points and 6 assists and Slovenian forward Dalibor Cevriz (195-1987) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Four Mustangs and five KOS players scored in double figures. Mustangs have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with BBU Salzburg and Blackbirds. KOS at the other side dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with Raiders. Mustangs is looking forward to face league's second-placed Blackbirds in Jennersdorf in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KOS will play on the road against Alligators in Deutsch-Wagram and is hoping to win this game.
