No shocking result in a game when sixth ranked Constanta (2-1) smashed at home bottom-ranked Laguna S. (0-5) 88-51 on Saturday. The game without a history. Constanta led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Laguna S. to just 6 points in second quarter. They outrebounded Laguna S. 45-17 including a 35-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. Constanta shot the lights out from three sinking 15 long-distance shots on high 57.7 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American point guard Nate Johnson (193-1998, college: Xavier) stepped up and scored 25 points for the winners and Lithuanian Vytenis Cizauskas (187-1992) chipped in 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. British forward Will Saunders (201-1991, college: Charleston So.) responded with 11 points and 6 rebounds and Georgian forward Aleksandre Phevadze (206-1998) scored 11 points and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Constanta moved-up to third place, which they share with Voluntari. Newly promoted Laguna S. still closes the standings with five games lost. Constanta will meet Oradea (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Laguna S. will play against the league's leader Galati (#1) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
