There was a minor upset in Stahnsdorf where 4th placed TKS 49ers (3-2) were defeated by seventh ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (3-1) 82-66 on Sunday. The best player for the winners was American point guard Devon Goodman (184-1997, college: Pennsylvania) who scored 29 points, 9 assists and 5 steals. Swedish forward Zaba Bangala (200-2001) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Dragons Rhoendorf players scored in double figures. Ukrainian point guard Andriy Kozhemiakin (190-1996, agency: BIG) produced 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) and Robin Jorch (211-1994, college: Boise St.) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragons Rhoendorf moved-up to second place, which they share with BSW Sixers and Vechta 2. Loser TKS 49ers keep the fourth position with two games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Dragons Rhoendorf will meet at home Giessen Pointers (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. TKS 49ers will play against RheinStars (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
