Regular Season Round 5: Birzu - Saule 74-75

Bottom-ranked Birzu is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to eighth ranked Saule (3-2) 75-74 on Sunday evening. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 21-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Point guard Deividas Zukauskas (162-2005) nailed a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds for the winning side and Lukas Paskauskas (-2005) accounted for 18 points. Swingman Danielius Mulevicius (195-2006) came up with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 19 rebounds and guard Dovydas Kacinskas (185-2005) added 19 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Birzu in the defeat. Four Birzu players scored in double figures. Saule moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Birzu still closes the standings with four games lost. Saule will meet at home Marijampoles (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Birzu will play against Tornado KM in Kaunas and hopes to get finally their first victory.
