Regular Season Round 8: Naestved - Amager 120-78
Date: November 2, 2022
Very expected game when 11th ranked Amager (1-7) was crushed on the road by second ranked Naestved (6-1) 120-78 on Wednesday. Naestved dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to Amager's 42. They outrebounded Amager 42-26 including a 31-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Naestved looked well-organized offensively handing out 35 assists. The best player for the winners was American guard Ian DuBose (193-1999, college: Wake Forest) who scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. The other American import guard Rodney Chatman (189-1998, college: Vanderbilt) chipped in 20 points and 7 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Guard Oscar Quackenbush (188-1999) produced 24 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and American guard Jordan Johnson (198-1998, college: Concordia, WI) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Five Naestved and four Amager players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Naestved keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Horsens IC. Amager lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with seven games lost. Naestved will meet at home Holbaek (#10) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Amager will have a break next round.
