Undefeated Tigers (5-1) recorded its first loss in Tuebingen. Hosts were edged by fifteenth ranked SparkassenStars (2-4) 79-76. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Tigers. SparkassenStars made 25-of-29 charity shots (86.2 percent) during the game, while Tigers only scored eight points from the stripe. Tigers were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Point guard Niklas Geske (188-1994) notched 13 points, 9 rebounds and 8 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) to lead the effort and center Tom Alte (207-1995) supported him with 18 points and 9 rebounds. SparkassenStars will play against higher ranked Falcons (#11) in Nuernberg in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Tigers will play on the road against Duesseldorf (#9) and hope to get back on the winning track.
