Regular Season Round 6: Timberwolves - UBI Graz 59-56

The most exciting game of round 6 in the BDSL took place in Vienna. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of second-best UBI Graz (4-2) to sixth ranked Timberwolves (2-3) 59-56 on Saturday evening. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Timberwolves forced 27 UBI Graz turnovers. Strangely UBI Graz outrebounded Timberwolves 43-21 including a 17-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for the former international guard Aleksandra Novakovic (173-1994) who led her team to a victory with 19 points. Spanish forward Cristina Ninon (180-2002) contributed with 9 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Timberwolves' coach Beata Renertova used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Portuguese center Emilia Ferreira (185-1996) replied with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 15 rebounds and the former international forward Camilla Neumann (182-1994) added 12 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for UBI Graz. Timberwolves maintains sixth position with 2-3 record. UBI Graz at the other side keeps the second place with two games lost. Timberwolves' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Vienna to the arena Flames.
