Regular Season Round 8: Neptunas - Wolves 100-80

There was a surprise result in Klaipeda where tenth ranked Neptunas (3-5) smashed higher ranked Wolves (5-3) 100-80 on Saturday. Neptunas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was American center Austin Wiley (211-1999, college: Auburn) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. The former international forward Deividas Gailius (200-1988) chipped in 22 points. Four Neptunas players scored in double figures. Neptunas' coach Mindaugas Brazys allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. The former international forward Eigirdas Zukauskas (204-1992) produced 25 points and American guard Ahmad Caver (188-1996, college: ODU) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively for the guests. Neptunas moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Nevezis and P.Zvaigzdes. Newly promoted Wolves keeps the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Rytas. Neptunas will meet Nevezis (#9) in the next round. Wolves will play against Prienai CBet (#12) and hope to secure a win.
