Regular Season Round 10: Silute - Telsiai 67-71

NKL top team - Telsiai (10-0) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat fifth ranked Silute (5-4) 71-67. Telsiai looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Center Mindaugas Norkus (200-1985) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Ernestas Bruzas (182-1996) chipped in 16 points during the contest. Telsiai's coach Rytis Vaisvila used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the losing side Karolis Sapiega (199-1999) responded with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and Canadian guard Jalen Warren (188-1999, college: UIC) scored 21 points. Telsiai have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 10-0 record. Silute at the other side dropped to the fourth place with four games lost. They share the position with Kretinga. Telsiai are looking forward to face Mazeikiai (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Silute will play against Palanga (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
