Everything went according to plan when third ranked Aschersleben (6-1) defeated at home 5th ranked SG Braunschweig (4-3) 73-64 on Saturday. Aschersleben had a 28-16 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by Noah Litzbach (196-2000) who scored that evening 18 points and Italian-Slovenian center Davor Barovic (211-1990) supported him with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Four Aschersleben players scored in double figures. Even 15 points by point guard Gian Aydinoglu (189-2003) did not help to save the game for SG Braunschweig. Sananda Fru (205-2003) added 12 points for the guests. SG Braunschweig's coach tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aschersleben keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Veitshoechheim. Loser SG Braunschweig keeps the fifth place with three games lost. They share the position with Rendsburg.
