Rather predictable result when tenth ranked Kangaroos (2-3) outscored on the road bottom-ranked Herford (0-5) 101-81 on Saturday. Kangaroos dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Herford's 26. Kangaroos had a 30-17 advantage in offensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Point guard Patrick Teka (183-1998) scored 21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Canadian center Henry Van Herk (206-1998, college: Queen's) chipped in 19 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Kangaroos players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American Herman Hightower (198-1996, college: MWSU) with 22 points and Piet Niehus (188-1998) scored 24 points.
